• Simple Future Tense

Adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk kejadian atau peristiwa yang akan terjadi di masa depan.

• Pattern (rumus) :

A. Verbal (kata kerja)

(+)       S + Will/ Shall +Verb I + O + Keterangan

(-)        S + Will/ Shall + Not + Verb I + O + Keterangan

(?)       Will/ Shall + S + Verb I + O + Keterangan

Contoh :

(+)       You will read news paper Tomorrow

(-)        You will not read news paper Tomorrow

(?)        Will you read news paper Tomorrow?

Yes, I will         No, I will not

(+)       She will write letter in the class room

(-)        She will not write letter in the class room

(?)        Will she write letter in the class room?

Yes, she will        No, she will not

B. Non Verbal

Dibedakan menjadi 3, yaitu :

a. Adjective (kata sifat)

(+)       S + Will/ Shall + Be + Adjective

(-)        S + Will/ Shall + Not + Be + Adjective

(?)        Will/ Shall + S + Be + Adjective

Contoh :

(+)       My father  will be funny

(-)        My father will not be funny

(?)        Will My father be funny?

Yes, He will        No, He will not

(+)       They will be busy

(-)        They will not be busy

(?)        Will They be busy?

Yes, They will   No, They will not

b. Noun (kata benda yang berwujud profesi)

(+)       S + Will/ Shall + Be + Noun

(-)        S + Will/ Shall + Not + Be + Noun

(?)       Will/ Shall + S + Be + Noun

Contoh :

(+)       Your mother will be  a teacher

(-)        Your mother will not be a teacher

(?)        Will your mother be a teacher?

Yes, she will        No, She will not

(+)       My boy friend will be a doctor

(-)        My boy friend will not be a doctor

(?)        Will My boy friend be a doctor?

Yes, He will        No, He will not

c. Adverb (kata keterangan)

Dibedakan menjadi 4 :

1. Adverb of place ( keterangan tempat)

Kata keterangan tempat biasanya di awali dengan Preposition (kata depan) yaitu : In, On, Beside, Behind, At, To, Top, Over, Above, Below, Under, Under, In front of, Back, Opposite, Corner, Middle, Side, dll.

2. Adverb of time ( keterangan waktu)

Kata keterangan waktu yaitu : Second, minute, Hour, Day, Week, Month, Year.

- Adverb of frequency (keterangan frekuensi)

Kata keterangan Frekuensi yaitu : Always, Usually, Sometimes, Seldom, Rarely, Generally, Often, dll.

- Adverb of manner (keterangan cara)

kata sifat yang ditambah akhiran ly, yang artinya “ dengan …”

contoh : fastly → dengan cepat

carefully → dengan hati-hati

(-)        S + Will/ Shall + Not + Be + Adverb

(?)       Will/ Shall + S + Be + Adverb

Contoh :

Note :

• “Will” untuk subjek →  Semua Subject (I, You, They, We, He, She, It)
• “Shall” untuk subjek → I dan We
• Time Signal (tanda waktu) : Later, Tomorrow, Next …..(Next week, Next Month, Next Year, Next Century), Next Time, dll.
